Clear communication is essential for commissioned artwork. Here are a few things you should consider when commissioning artwork from any artist:
Reference photos are very important for realistic artwork. Very simply put, better photos = better art.

Please reach us at jenniferslouha@jenniferslouha.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
I require a 25% non-refundable deposit prior to starting commissioned artwork. This is 25% of the total cost of the finished artwork minus shipping. Deposits are non-refundable except in the unfortunate event where I would be unable to finish your artwork, whereby I will refund your deposit in full.
The deposit guarantees your place in my work list and covers the cost of the materials.
Yes, I can.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for the completion of most colored pencil and graphite pencil artwork 8x10 inches and larger and additional time for shipping. Artwork larger than 8x10 inches with full backgrounds may take longer to complete depending on the size and complexity of the piece.
Acrylic paintings may take 1-2 months depending on the size and complexity of the piece. They may also require extra time for varnishing and shipping.
Smaller, less detailed sketches should only take a few days at most to complete.
Rushed commissions might be possible, but for an additional fee.
Yes, I can. This is helpful when there are several subjects in once piece of artwork. A preliminary sketch helps to show the composition of the artwork. I can start the preliminary sketch prior to starting on the commission. If you approve of this preliminary sketch, I will start the artwork.
I use artist-grade materials for all of my artwork.

I calculate the prices of my commissioned artwork by medium and by square inch. The number of subjects may also affect the price (see below).
Allowed number of subjects per size and the pricing:
Graphite drawings are much quicker than colored pencil drawings and acrylic paintings so they cost slightly less. Colored pencil drawings like paintings, requires the buildup of multiple layers of color and blending. This takes a substantial amount of time to create a full color piece of artwork. Some of my highly detailed colored pencil automotive drawings have taken upwards of 80-100 hours to complete.
Not typically, but I have in special circumstances. Matting and framing drastically increases the price of shipping.
The prices of the graphite and colored pencil artwork listed above does not include matting and framing. All matting and framing costs will be in addition to the prices listed above.
All acrylic paintings are created on gallery wrapped style canvas which does not need additional framing - the borders are painted and the backs are wired to lay flat against the wall.
Possibly. I like challenges so if you have a creative project that you would like to consider having me work on that I have not listed as a medium here, contact me.
I occasionally work in several mediums not listed on my website such as watercolor colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastel, soft pastel, airbrushing (not on vehicles - yet), polymer clay, and epoxy clay.
I have painted commissioned turkey calls and turkey feathers, river rock art (to look like animals, flowers, buildings, etc). I have also created shrink art earrings that look just like someone's pet.
Yes, I can. I can send progress photos of the artwork throughout the creative process. If you want changes to the artwork, it is best to do this in the beginning stages so please look carefully at the photos that I send you.
Please let me know the preferred contact to send the progress photos to.
